Client Charged With Domestic Assault, B&E, And Breaches
The Facts:
Client was charged with 8 offences in Port Coquitlam. Initially, he was charged with assaulting 3 of his family members, including his wife and children. He was later also charged with break and enter, mischief, and several breaches of his release order conditions.
Jasmin Singh persuaded the Crown to accept guilty pleas to only one count of assault and one count of breach of release order and to enter a stay of proceedings for the remaining 6 charges. At the client’s sentencing, she argued for a conditional discharge.
