Julie Audette is a dedicated lawyer who will stand with you and fight for your rights. She takes a meticulous and thoughtful approach to her files and is skilled in identifying problems in the prosecution’s case. No matter what type of file you have, Julie is committed to resolving client issues favourably and efficiently and will work with you to get you your desired result.
Prior to joining Mickelson and Whysall, Julie served as a caseworker for the UBC Innocence Project where she advocated for individuals wrongfully convicted of murder. Her commitment to ensuring those who are wrongfully accused of a crime receive the best defence possible has served her well in her practice of law.
As an associate lawyer, Julie maintains a diverse practice taking on both criminal and quasi-criminal administrative law matters. She represents clients charged with driving offences, assaults, firearms matters, drug offences and financial crimes. In addition to her criminal files, Julie also assists clients with record suspensions, traffic offences, border seizure matters and immediate roadside prohibitions.
Julie obtained her law degree from the University of British Columbia. Before her law degree, she obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration and graduated with Honours. Her active listening skills, combined with her analytical and negotiation skills, ensure her clients feel heard and get the best result possible.
Julie has argued at the Provincial Court level throughout the Lower Mainland and in the BC Court of Appeal.
