Client Charged with Theft

The facts: Youth client was charged with shoplifting from a well-known department store. There were witnesses and video surveillance to support the charge. Client had previously been issued warnings, several times, in response to similar offending. The charge was approved due to multiple similar incidents in the past. 

Jasmin wrote a letter to persuade the Crown that it was not in the public interest to proceed with the charge. This included several support letters and an apology letter from the client.

The charge was withdrawn by the Crown.
